'Marketing' a internet forum...

It's not really that hard (to setup a internet forum), but the question would always be how do you going to attract some people to visit your internet forum.

I'm always interested with the philosophy of marketing. How do you market your product? What makes people buy Nike when there are so many other type of sport shoes in the market. How do you make people feeling proud of just owning your product?

Same thing, how do you make people feeling proud of just becoming one of your internet forum member. Is there even such a thing could happen? Who knows, there are many crazy people there who queue for days just to own a product before anyone could. This could happen.

To motivate or to despise

People could be confused when they get disappointed by someone else. At this moment, people would tend to start despising the one that made it happened.

To motivate a person isn't an easy task. Doing good deeds is always harder than the opposite. Well, that's what some people think of.

Hmm, this time, surprisingly, I'd choose to motivate a person who disappointed me few days ago. Although he might not know that I'm helping him, but, it's alright. As long as I knew it myself, it's felt great enough. Which means, I can actually motivate.

Let's see how it goes.

Discrimination

Your friend has a joke, shared with you and another lady.
You laughed and the other lady was like 'what joke is that' or 'is that a joke' or 'I don't understand what you're talking about'.
Usually, people would describe that lady as 'She's having her period'. That's sexual discrimination.

What if, the lady never laugh whenever she listen to a joke, which is considerably funny? People (and myself) would start saying that she must has a very sad childhood, where she was being bullied 24/7 from age 3 to 12 (After age 12, she would still feel that she's being bullied or isolated even if she's being told a joke). Is that a discrimination?

Coffee saved my afternoon, again.

This is not my first time giving compliment to 'Coffee' and 'Sugar'.

Most people might think I'm obssessed or addicted but frankly speaking, I'm not. The maximum cups of coffee per day I've taken so far is 3, which is very very rare. Normally, 1 or 2 cups. However, I can't really remember the day where I don't take coffee at all, since all I can remember is that, coffee has been accompanying me since my primary school, ever since I loathed MILO (until now).

I have a colleague who claim to have 6 cups per day. Yesterday, she told me she completely stopped drinking coffee for the past 2 days ago. She told me that when she was making her first coffee since 2 days ago in the pantry. I'd call that 'hell of a detox' cos' you can't really stop it so sudden and completely cos' it WOULD NOT work. Not a chance.

By the way, I haven't talked how the coffee saved my afternoon yet...

Late Night Anime

Kyoto Animation is one of my favourite Anime Production Teams. I was first total attracted by their famous anime 'The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi'. It's a totally interesting, funny, bizarre, (any good adjective that you can put) anime. The chemistry and events and the Japanese joke are so extremely well placed. Thanks to our National TV station for playing it even though it in the midnight. I was first pretty curious on why the TV wanted to play it in the midnight since the anime is actually suitable for age 0 to 1000 and it is so so so popular in Japan itself. After that, I found that, in Japan itself, the anime is rated as 'Late-Night-Anime' and played in the TV after midnight as well. Perhaps that's the reason why over here is playing it late night too, even though the anime was played at noon time during the school holiday (after more than half a year later).

Of course, anything that played at the late night wouldn't attract much audiences especially the kids might need to go to school early in the morning while people like us would need to go to work as well. Even though the anime was so popular, but pls don't misunderstanding by thinking that the Japanese doesn't sleep. In fact, the anime production was much more to DVD release purpose. However, since it is co-produced by their TV station, hence they insisted to play it even in the midnight. I really don't know the actual reason but it does happen and even happening now (on new anime).

However, that doesn't really affect the popularity of the anime itself since the DVD is released as well and also due to 1 big factor: Japanese world-uniquely OTAKU.

With a little help from the happy thoughts

Most of the time, when you're trying to stay in the happy-mood, there would always be something that come to annoy it. You might get a pretty sunny morning but a heavy traffic jam. You might come to the office with a smiley face but noone were looking at you. You might want to have a peaceful environment for 1 minute but some childish idiot might just keep on making noise saying that education doesn't mean success. You might have work late at home in order to show the result to your boss but got scolded for not achieving what he wanted in his mind.

All the above matters are such good challenges to test somebody's patience (at least for me).

If 1 person can still wear a smile on his face after all this happen at the same day, I want to be that person. Perhaps a little of happy thoughts can make that happen.

Note: All the above haven't happened to me at the SAME day yet. Hopefully that 'a little of happy thoughts' can help when it does.

The mini HIFI in office

We have about 2 mini HIFIs in the office. 1 in my boss room while another 1 in the hall (where all our cubicles located).

However, since the hall's mini HIFI is located behind the ladies-cubicle, hence, predictably it only plays sentimental songs. I'm 80% banned the sentimental songs due to the very same reason that people can give in the world, BORING. Surprisingly, I can almost sing along all the songs played. This is quite absurd and confusing cos' it makes me thinking if I actually like sentimental songs subconsciously...

Man can sometime be confused by what they thought they were.
